Recreate Emma’s hair look in five simple steps:

Step 1 – Use a 1” or larger sized curling iron for this look. Take your iron and curl your entire head. Really make sure you curl close to the root to really create that soft wavy texture throughout the whole hair strand. Use a light hairspray after you finish and then run your fingers through to break up the curls a little bit.

Step 2 – Now that you have your soft wavy foundation for this look, part hair gently to the side with your fingers. Section out a front headband shaped section of hair around the face. The section should start right behind the ears and meet about two inches back from the forehead on the top of the head. You’ll use this section of hair to twist and pull back later.

Step 3 – Gather up the back section of hair and pull up into a messy bun, twisted and secured in the back center of the head. Use your fingers instead of a comb to keep the look soft.

Step 4 – With your bun secured, drop down the front section you kept out in step two. Re-part hair on the side if you have to and then gently pull the larger section up and back and then pin into your bun. Divide the other section (on the other side of the part) into two twists that you pull back softly and secure into the bun.

Step 5 – Use your fingers to lightly pull on the top sections forward to create a little volume and spray with some shine spray for a totally amazing red-carpet look!section you kept out in step two. Re-part hair on the side if you have to and then gently pull the larger section up and back and then pin into your bun. Divide the other section (on the other side of the part) into two twists that you pull back softly and secure into the bun.
